Jayne is a self employed practitioner who provides art therapy to vulnerable children, young people, and adults across educational and end of life settings. She uses creative expression to help individuals understand their feelings, build resilience, and form meaningful connections. Her approach is holistic and systemic, recognising that a child’s wellbeing is shaped by both their inner world and the relationships and environments around them. Her work is grounded in trauma‑informed principles—safety, trust, empowerment, and collaboration—ensuring every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
Jayne’s therapeutic practice is enriched by her background in the arts. After completing a fine art degree, she worked as an artist for several years, using creative exploration to understand her own experiences as an adoptee. She used film, photography, and sculpture to examine the psychological impact of the adoption process and to highlight its lasting effects on identity, belonging, and the search for self.
